These are double butted stainless steel spokes, which have 2mm thick end parts (14g) and butted  mid part of 1,6mm.
Butted spokes are not just lighter, but also more dependable against spoke beakage!
Just the side stiffness of butted spokes is a bit less than of standard ones.

The wheelbuilding with butted spokes should only be done by experienced persons.
