Here comes the new Clean K1
2017 Clean released the first carbon trialbike.
There were many doubter, if carbon works as frame material in trials.
Today nobody has any more doubts, that carbon frames are also the future in trials.
It is well known, that carbon is much more lighter than aluminium, but also the stiffness and strength of carbon is unsurpassed.
The K1.2 comes with several improvements.
The prime concern are the thru axles.
Thus the wheel is not just clamped, for maximum stifness it's really screwed with the frame and fork.
(Through the dropout adaptors it's still possible to mount standard wheels with 10mm axles)
The rear sprocket is now a splined one (HG standard). Thus the replacing is very easy without need of a vise.
Security policy
Here the most important features:
-Frame, fork and handlebar build of High Modulus Carbon
-Tapered Headtube (cone shaped): The bottom bearing has 1.5” to make this sensible are more stable and stiff.
-AS30 Crankset: The frame has a big bottom bracket shell with 46mm diameter with press fit bearings, so it is possible to use a 30mm axle. This crankset forms almost a unit with the frame. Every pedal impulse is transferred precisely to the bike. Further on the freewheel is interlocked, for easy change.
-Integrated chain tensioner: The requirement for vertical dropouts. The chain has always the perfect tension.
-Thru axles in front and rear for maximum stifness. The wheel is still sitting on the same spot.
We strictly recommend the use of the Clean K1 frame protectors!
